Baptism is our wonderful privilege of publicly professing Jesus as our Lord and Savior. In baptism we are following Jesus' example (Mark 1:9-11) and His command (Matthew 28:16-20). We are identifying with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection and we are celebrating our spiritual death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:4). We practice Biblical baptism by immersion (Acts 8:38) following repentance (Acts 2:38). Baptism is our first step of obedience following salvation by God's grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-10).
