PRAYER FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH

CHRISTMAS DEVOTIONAL!

GOING ON NOW-NOVEMBER 4TH, 2018
Please prayerfully consider being a part of our Advent Christmas Devotional that will be available during the month of December. This is a great opportunity for you to encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ during our daily time of prayer and bible reading. Church members are invited to submit a scripture with a brief testimony or word of encouragement. Please limit your entry to 300 words or less. If your entry is handwritten, please write legibly. Entries may be submitted now through November 4th, 2018. Submissions may be emailed to: uhbc.office@gmail.com, bring them in, or mail them to the church office. WOMEN OF JOY PAYMENT DUE

VETERANS DAY ACTIVITIES

MISSION TRIP TO ATLANTA

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE

The community Thanksgiving Service will be held at First Baptist Church Alexandria this year w/ a meal to follow. More information to come regarding song leader and speaker.

SHOEBOX MINISTRY

THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Right now, we are accepting money donations in the “red jar” in the foyer. Also, please bring in any empty shoe boxes you have & we’ll pack them.

We will continue to have our packing party toward the end of the year. In the meantime, we are collecting packed shoeboxes throughout the year. Anytime you can, we encourage you to bring a packed shoebox.
*Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately.
*Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.
*Select a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
*Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.
