Classes, Groups & Committees
Upper Helton Baptist Church has classes, groups & activities for all ages. Don't worry- there is definitely something for EVERYONE!

Our age divided classes provide the atmosphere for building close relationships. We are committed to learning, mentoring and growing disciples. It is in our Sunday School where the Bible is our textbook, Christ is modeled, ideas are share, relationships are nurtured, burdens shared and fellowship is enjoyed.

- Discipleship Training
- Each member is encouraged to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). There are opportunities for enrichment and growth through our discipleship classes. Our discipleship classes are offered on Sunday and Wednesday nights. These classes include topics such as Christian theology, Christian history, relationships, marriage enrichment, spiritual disciplines, and many more.
- Bible Study, Children In Action, DiscipleLand, Nursery and Wee Worship
- Children are very special to Jesus, “suffer the little children to come unto Me,” and to us as well. Our children grow through Kids Bible Study, Children In Action, DiscipleLand, Nursery and Wee Worship. See list for class teachers.
Nursery is offered for children ages birth through 2 on Sunday mornings during Sunday School & worship service.
Wee Worship is a ministry for children ages 3 through 1st grade during Sunday morning & night worship services.
DiscipleLand Kids is our ministry for children ages 3 through 1st grade which meets on Wednesday nights.
Children In Action is our ministry for children in grades 1st - 6th which meets on Wednesday nights.
Kids Bible Study is held on Sunday nights for grades 2nd-youth. Most studies run for 6 weeks.The "pre-youth" of our church are collectively known as "Kids For Christ". Kids For Christ is a very busy group which often has day trips, game nights, pizza parties, lock-ins, and holiday parties. Kids For Christ committee includes Amy Evans, Casey Agee & Sharon Parkerson
- Men and Women Groups
- You can connect with other men and women through Bible studies, trips, fellowships, mission trips, and worship. Our men’s and women’s ministries help to engage men and women in evangelism and missions. See list for class teachers.
Brotherhood director is Terry Self.
Women's bible study leaders are Bethany Vantrease & Holly Groe.
"Women of Joy" this year is being organized by Roenia Turner & Vickie Woods. - "Transformed" Youth
- We are committed to providing young men and women with an atmosphere where they are able to develop as Christian adults, be discipled in the Word, equipped to interact with their community with the Gospel and enjoy the fellowship of others their age. Bible studies, local mission projects, “fun time” activities and so much more make up our youth community. Youth often takes trips such as "Hearts on Fire" each year. See list for class teachers. Youth committee includes Kerry Davis & Teresa Bogle.
- Senior Adults
- We do not want our seniors to feel forgotten. We give our seniors opportunities to continue to serve Christ. This is accomplished through Bible study, fellowships, trips, mission projects, one day outings, Bible conferences, game time and so much more. See list for class teachers.
