Jesus in the great commission said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20, NKJV.
Telling the world about the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our sins is important to God, therefore, it is important to us at Upper Helton Baptist Church. Outreach and Evangelism are at the very heart of our church. We are able to spread the gospel through outreach opportunities such as financial giving to local and international missions, offering a Vacation Bible School that is exciting and educational, as well as church sponsored outreach events that invite people to have a personal relationship with Christ.

We also reach into our community through ongoing ministries such as our every Tuesday noon prayer meeting and a radio ministry called “Cross Connection”. Our children also take part in missions on a smaller scale. Jesus instructed us to “teach” all that we have been commanded, therefore, education has always been important to Upper Helton. Education and Outreach go hand in hand. As we teach Gods’ Word through Sunday School and Wednesday night Bible Study, we pass on the burden to reach souls for the kingdom.

CHILDREN IN ACTION has now started. Children in Action is a missions discipleship organization for children in grades 1–6. Every boy or girl has an important place in Children in Action. Members of Children in Action learn about and pray for missions. They do missions work and give money to missions. Plus, they have a great time! CIA meets Wednesday nights @ 7:00!

International Missions:

1. Malta (prayer walking, literature distribution, etc.)..........February 2012
2. Belize ..........Summer 2012
3. Canada ..........Fall 2012

Domestic Missions:

Please be in prayer as we dialogue with Roger Graves, a NAMB missionary to Iowa, to partner with an Iowa church plant.
